A First Baptist Blog?

Let's see. How many of the FBCA folks out there read blogs?

Comment here and let us know.

my wife and I just visited FBC recently and are impressed with all the mission opportunities and it appears that helping the poor widows and orphans has it teaches in the bible is very important at FBC. We are also impressed with the pastor’s sermons. My wife stated he seems to tell it has it is and enjoyed the service.

We are looking for a church that gives more than it takes and focus is on Jesus and helping others.

I hope this is the place.

Anyone that has any good mission testimonies through FBC let us know.

Hi, David

I read blogs incessantly, but I comment only intermittently.

(I vote yes! for an FBC blog).

I have many great friends who do blogs. It is a wonderful way to keep up with them. I also have a blog in which I share my testimony and writings on.
I am involved in the Christian Woman on line as well and it is a great way to use my faith and reach others.
I love First Baptist!! It would be great to meet others through blogging!!

Lance,
My name is Paulette Williams. I am Joyful member of First Baptist. I am in the choir and have several wonderful testimonies of the Mission trips I have been blessed to go on. I recently went with the music ministry to Monterrey Mexico and was blest beyond words. I did not really know anyone and plugged in because I felt the Lord's prompting to do so. I now count many of the one's I went with friends. We still have periodical meetings and are planning next years trip back!! It is exciting.

That's awesome I fell helping others is one of the most important teachings Christ gave us. I really want to instill that in my children and when my wife and i have gone on mission trips before I always feel my relationship with God is closer
Thanks for the info
Paulette

I read blogs daily, but I don't remember to go to the sites to read them. For me, my most frequented blogs are the ones that provide an e-mail alert to tell me that something new has been posted. I don't use RSS feeds.

Not an FBC member, but an avid blogger and reader of blogs. I live in Arlington and greatly respect the ministry of FBC (member of a sister SBC church in town) and would love to read what y'all are doing!

I think this is a great idea even if I don't read blogs because I have hundreds of post to read in forums that I run :).

Yet again another wonderful offering by David!

Lance,
FBCA is a really wonderful place and that is not said simply becuase I work there. It is the church that I have chosen to serve, though others have often offered, even in the Metroplex. It's a healthy place that truly tries as hard as possible to be a church that Jesus would be proud of.

Hope you find it your home. If there is anything that we can do to assist you or answer your questions, please let us know.

Blessings,
Ricky

Hi David,
I enjoying reading 'blogging w/a purpose' . . . but detest 'blogging for the sake of blogging'; however, I rarely post.

I believe this would be a great addition to the traditional communication channels we already have in place at FBCA. Possibly even a place for questions / comments about the Sunday or Wednesday sermons that strike you a few days after the initial message delivery.
